Aerobloom is a speculative but research-backed product-service ecosystem designed to reimagine self-regulation for people with COPD. It uses an AI-powered digital twin, a smart inhaler, and a companion coaching app to shift care from reactive to proactive, helping users stay ahead of their condition.

The Problem

The management of COPD is a disconnected system where patients are burdened by the constant anxiety and stigma of their condition, while clinicians are forced to make critical decisions with fragmented data—making proactive, preventative care nearly impossible for either.

COPD is a condition where the lungs become damaged and the airways narrow, making it hard to breathe and exchange gases efficiently.

The Solution

Our solution is a fully integrated product-service ecosystem that combines a smart inhaler for passive sensing and medication delivery, a Digital Twin for predictive modeling, and a supportive AI Coach that translates complex data into simple, proactive guidance.

To find the right intervention points, we first mapped the complex web of actors, devices, and information flows that define a patient's daily reality.

The system works in a simple feedback loop: it collects data, uses a digital twin to synthesize and predict, and provides clear guidance to the user.

Aerobloom is more than an app; it is a cohesive ecosystem of devices that work in concert. The experience adapts in real-time to the user's health, providing a seamless flow of information and guidance across the mobile app, smartwatch, and the smart inhaler itself.
