product designer

I design clear, accessible interfaces for complex workflows. I prototype fast, AI when it helps. Curious about how people work with technology and why they use it the way they do

Origin — Pune (age 5–6)

I was born in Pune. My first clear memory is making a Diwali killa with my dad asking him where to put the ramp and nudging a figure an inch, then another. That’s the first project I remember us doing together.

share drafts early, improve fast.

From engineering to product design (MIT ID)

At MIT Institute of Design, I built a foundation in product design , research, interaction patterns, physical prototyping, and tesing with a focus on a system’s social impact.
In GLEE (pre-COVID), a smile-based attendance concept for corporate check-ins, and under Prof. Diman Panchal’s guidance, we looked at how small, targeted changes in a workflow can improve the everyday environment. We checked impact, not just interface consent, fallback, and fit with routines. My engineering background helped me reason about feasibility early and balance function, form, and user needs.

Introduction to design — first branding project

While playing cricket in my society in Pune, I saw my older friend Parikshit walk by with a box of product sketches and got curious. I asked what he was doing and started looking into the tools and process. Through Abhishake ( film director), I picked up a small freelance logo job for a local media house to try it for real. At Neel Cyber Cafe I found CorelDRAW and made a first draft in a day; it was rejected the next day. I went back, asked better questions for a proper brief, iterated, and by version five it was approved. It became my first paid project and pushed me toward formal design education.

Now — HCI, systems, AI prototyping

I just completed a Master’s in Human–Computer Interaction. I worked with UNICEF on an emergency-preparedness brief for school systems, focusing on accessibility for children with disabilities; it deepened my structure-first approach and helped me unlearn shallow patterns. Over the last year I added AI prototyping building simple conversational agents and using AI to explore variants and edge cases.
I design tools people can trust, safe defaults, measurable change, and room to opt out.
